Prayer/Salaah Is The Key To Heaven

Prayer/Salaah is to bow and prostrate in order to please Allah through certain rules and certain actions at certain times. Salaah is the main identity of Muslims. Because the one who performs salaah is a Muslim and the one who does not perform salaah is a disbeliever. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:  The difference between believer (Muslim) and disbeliever(Kafer) is salaah."

Prayer/Salaah is a means by which the servant becomes very close to Allah Ta'ala, because Allah Ta'ala says - "Prayer/salaah is the mi'raj for the believers".  A person becomes closer to Allah by performing the salaah. However, this prayer or Salaah must be performed in a clean and pure manner. One of the conditions for the acceptance of the prayer is purity. The prayer will not be performed without attaining purity.  Therefore, one should perform ablution well and then perform the prayer.

Praying is not just the name of bowing and prostration. There are some activities inside and outside the prayer which are called Arkan Ahkam. They have to be performed properly.  And if the prayer is not accepted, it is not possible to go to Paradise. Because the Prophet (peace be upon him) said - "Prayer/salaah is the key to heaven".

Prayer is an act of worship that keeps a person away from unjust and obscene acts. He who prays can never do any bad deeds. Because Allah Ta'ala says - "Surely prayers keep away from obscene and bad deeds". No bad thing can ever happen by the person who performs regular prayers. If a person prays and then does bad deeds, then it should be understood that his/ her prayers are not being accepted in the court of Allah. Our beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) attached great importance to prayer. He also said at the time of death - "Prayer! Prayer! O my Ummah, do not give up prayer."

Prayer(Salaah) is very important in Islam. There is no way to escape from the severe torment on the Day of Resurrection without prayer(Salaah). If we perform Salaah regularly  we will be immersed in the sea of happiness of Heaven  for eternity after our death. That is why we should fear Allah and pray regularly to please Him.
